Devin, Founder & Owner (pictured left)
Being an Executive Assistant for C-Level executives throughout Manhattan for over ten years helped create Devin's boss bitch work ethic! Devin's dream of owning her own party planning business came true in 2017, when she decided to leave her career in NYC and made the move from Brooklyn to Playa del Carmen. After living in both Playa and Tulum, Devin was able to grow a successful business, and has been Beach Planning ever since! A combination of her hard work, motivation, love of the beach and nightlife scene was the perfect blend for the business she proudly built!
Devin's favorite part of her job is creating an amazing, unforgettable experience that groups of friends will carry with them forever!
Devin now resides in the Catskills of New York with her partner and two children. Visiting Tulum and Los Cabos each quarter, all while meeting her clients in person is something she looks forward to everyday!
Maddie, VP of Operations (pictured right)
Residing in Tulum since 2018, Maddie has worked as an event planner, wedding coordinator and concierge! Originally from Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in Spanish Literature and Poetry from Temple University, Maddie has planned hundreds of Tulum vacations for birthday celebrations, elopements, bachelor and bachelorette trips as well as romantic getaways in the Riviera Maya and Los Cabos area. Her favorite part of planning is that she gets to share her love of Mexico, a country rich in passion, culture and cuisine, with her clients.
You can usually find Maddie exploring a new cenote, beach or restaurant with friends, walking her dog, Lara or planning her own next vacation! In addition to vacation and event planning, Maddie also owns an online Spanish language school and speaks spanish and italian fluently.
How it started
While Devin was working in the fast paced corporate world of Manhattan and living in Brooklyn she would visit the Riviera Maya often. While walking down the beach in Playa del Carmen she noticed beautiful villas on the beach. After speaking to some locals, she came to realize those stunning homes were rentals! Most people think of Mexico and immediately think “all inclusive”, but renting a private, beachfront villa with a group of your closest friends is a much more authentic, intimate and luxury, yet still affordable way of spending precious vacation time. And just like that, The Beach Planner was born!
How it's going
Since 2017, The Beach Planner has booked hundreds of villas throughout Tulum, Soliman Bay, Playa del Carmen and most recently, on the sunny Pacific coast of Mexico in Los Cabos! In addition to creating lasting partnerships with dozens of villas, hotels and condos on both Mexican coasts, The Beach Planner has curated an impressive catalog of top of the line concierge services that continues to grow and enhance the experience of each and every one of our clients.
